Some common permits available in TOPS are: reserved parking for
moving trucks, removing a heritage tree, residential walkways or fences
in public space, renting space for a street cafe, residential disabled
parking, hosting a block party, and construction or other occupation of
the public space. Permits are required by law for use of the public space
within the District of Columbia in accordance with
DCMR Title 24.
